Dupont is good for most of the colors especially Arctic blue, If you are matching with example, either is acceptable. Look back in history there are lots explained about paint color & use vers brands.

      Tony,
I don't think Dupont makes lacquer any longer. PPG last I knew still offers it.

I would go with the one which gives you the best color match. I don't think anyone produces nitro-celulose lacquer these days

              Tony,

Listen to your painter! He has the experience and the reputation that he must uphold! Ask for some test panels to select the correct color. Don't go by pictures in the manufacturers albums.
Your painter has carefully matched his equipment (nozzle, needles etc.) to best paint the company he chooses to use.
It's your responsibility to choose the color that best matches your cars original finish.

I was advised on this board to try Sherwin Williams for metallic colors.
Mostly because they use a finer metallic flakes like orgional.
Also their metallic dosent create a "prisom" affect like other modern paints.
In '05 ,S W lab reformulated the Duco 2080 (metallic silver ) for the coves on my '57.
I'm still pleased with the results.
