While everything else is apart... heard that before?
Anyhow, I've discovered that the shaft seal of the vacuum booster leaks if there is any lateral pressure on the shaft. If left alone, the booster holds vacuum. The shaft itself has some severe scoring as well on the sealing surface - looks like screwdriver marks.
Can the seal and shaft be replaced from the outside? Where can I find these parts? No luck so far...
Any chance this could be fixed with a baby bottle nipple similar to fixing leaking shaft seals for wiper door actuators?
Thanks
Randy
