    Water pump fitting

Has anyone out there used dry ice to remove the steel fitting from an alumium intake? Any info would be helpful.

Jerry, I recently removed one from an aluminum fuel injection adaptor plate (intake) that had been sitting in poor conditions for over 35 years. I soaked it for a few weeks then used a minumal amount of heat and it came right out. I've never tried dry ice so can't comment on that. Good luck, Don H.

      I'd do what Don did.
But there are a couple new products out by Loctite & CRC called "Freeze Off" that I've been wanting to try. Like dry ice but more convenient.
