'72 drier mounting brackwts

While cleaning up my front end I removed the A/C drier (A/C not functional at this time). It was mounted on the outboard side of the studs on the inner fender. the AIM shows that it should be mounted on the inboard side. My concern is the brackets. The bottom one has a "leg" that stops it from slipping down. I'm fairly sure it is incorrect. Anyone know what it might be for or have any other comments? Thanks!!

the one with the notched bracket goes in the upper position.

The notch fits in near the sight glass
the other bracket is on the bottom.

When you say "noched", I'm assuming you mean the one that I refer to as the one with the"leg" shown in the bottom of the first photo and the left of the second. Correct?

yeah --

I will look for a really good picture of the drier mounted.

If you zoom in on the one I already attached, you can see the top of the notched bracket by the sight glass.

Lynn, I took a look at my 72 A/C car, As Bill states the one with the leg is the top bracket ( You would think the opposite). This will put the brackets on the same side with the studs.

Thanks, I didn't put it that way but someone felt the drier would drop out. Thanks!!
