Gentlemen:

I recently inspected my spare ('66) to determine overall condition; car was purchased last year. The spare steel rim indicates 15x6JJ 2895/6. Is this a repro replacement? My knockoffs have no "outside" markings and I cannot access the wheel right now. Questions: will this spare work? The spare tire size is P205/65R15 and appears larger than the noted P205/75R15 I am currently running. I'm new to 'Vettes; can someone PLEASE tell me the correct spare tire and rim size? Your spare wheel isn't from a Corvette - the '66 Corvette steel wheel is
stamped "15 x 5-1/2JK", and has no "bumps" on the raised circle surrounding the
lug nut area for retaining small hubcaps (see attached photos). All five wheels
and tires were identical when the car left the factory, whether it had steel
wheels or the optional aluminum knock-off wheels. The original '65-'66 steel
wheels are becoming expensive and difficult to find, as they were only used on
Corvettes, and aren't reproduced.

The original (bias-ply) tires were 7.75-15, and the corresponding current
radial size is 205/75-15."
