Boomerang Ignition Shield???

How does this boomerang shield fit? The AIM looks like it shows the front of the shielding attaches to the aft/center bolt of the exhaust manifold, and the rear of the shielding attaches to the heatshield.

Either my part doesn't have the correct measurements or I'm missing the obvious. If you try to attach the front of the shieldind to the exhaust manifold it hits the heat shielding.

The aft end attaches to one of the engine mount bolts and the other mounts to the engine block.

Mike,
The front bracket fastens under one of the motor mount bolts and the "U" shaped bracket slips under a small screw directly to the engine block. I hope I have this right.

Previous posts are correct. It fits "under" the manifold, as opposed to outside the manifold as your picture shows. It holds the plug wires against the block.

The A.I.M. illustration is incorrect - the front end goes under the rearmost engine mount-to-block bolt, and the rear bracket attaches common with the rear spark plug heat shield-to-block bolt.
