    68 roadster springs cut (photos)

About a month ago I talked about cutting one coil off of the tightley wound end of the front springs on this 68 to lower the high front end, this is how it came out, summer photo is before and winter photo is after cut front coils.

I agree it looks much better but why was it high tio begin with? Aftermarket springs? I couldn't find your prior posts.

Hi Dan we never did come up with reason for it sitting high in the front, my friend has only owned the car for a year now so anything is possible, although the springs did look original and had tags on them but could not read the numbers.

        Hi Jim,

The pictures look like you corrected the problem. I wonder if there is a down side to cutting the spring? How much did you remove? Is your friend's car a big block or small block?

        Thanks,

        Terry
