68 Front Turn Signal Indicator - Repair

I went to replace the light bulb on my early 68 project last night and discovered that contact points in the housing have lost their springiness. Secondly at some point somebody has cut the wires and crimped them back together - as such I cannot disconnect to get the housing out of the grill - so I will have to cut. Two questions:1. Can the light socket be repaired? I see Zip 68-69 Park Light Wiring Harness Extensions$51.95 - looks like it is held together by a brass ring - any best practices?2. Where can i find the other half of the Zip plug the female end?
