70 rear flexible rubber brake line replacement

I would like to replace the rear brake flexible rubber lines.

Any recommendations on how to secure the connecting blocks by the trailing arm pockets so that I can keep them from twisting while I crack the fitting loose from the rubber line?

Have no problem cracking loose the hard line from the caliper to the flex line.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Bill, generally a open end wrench fits the brass blocks.5/8 wrench?

      Hi Bill,
I just tried Edward's solution but couldn't get the wrench in place... it hit the under-body from one direction and the t-arm from the other.
I was able to get a 9/16" open end wrench on the 2 'flats' on the block that are right where the flex line attaches to the block. I had the closed end of the wrench pointed towards the center of the car and slightly down
There seems to be room for both the wrench on the block and the one on the flex line.
      Good Luck!
      Regards,
      Alan

        Thanks guys.

I had the same problem with the 5/8" wrench, hence the question. I am sure I can get the fitting to break loose if I can just stabilize the block.

Do you have some open-end angle wrenches with their offset angles compared to standard wrenches they fit into areas that standards do not.

            Hi Paul,

That may be the answer I do not own a set of the angle wrenches currently.

They are very expensive to buy a Quality set maybe one of your friends has a set that you could borrow the wrench you need.

Great idea Paul. I will likely use the wrench one or two times.

                Thanks, Bill
