    1957 door striker

    Does anybody have any ideas how to restore the finish on a door striker. I believe it is an original. thanks

    I have seen them glass beeded lightly & look pertty good. I also have seen them cleaned with chemicals used for alum. A/C coils, they looked ok, but the easy-ist is with NOS parts, they are still plentiful, all that is needed is to drill the nos parts for internal rubber bumper for corvette use..... Someone told me they pollish them & let them age out side for a while, Hun?

        i do as adam says, only i also very carefully pry off the steel striker and have it replated, reinstall and repeen, a little exra work, but they look real nice
