67 Brake Problem

67 with manual disk brakes. New master cylinder (bench bled), new lines and rebuilt calipers using DOT 3. Hard pedal, very poor braking. Checked pressure at front caliper and got only 300 psi. Checked directly at master cylinder and also got 300 psi. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Based upon what you have described, I would say that you have a defective master cylinder. With such low pressure at the master cylinder I don't see how it could be anything else.

Please excuse my ignorance, but how much pressure should you have at the master cylinder, front and rear calipers?

Typically you can generate 800-1200 psi with your foot; the machine test on the Chassis Line in the plant pressurized the system to 1800-2000 psi.
