big block GM exhaust manifolds

I was going through some NOS parts I had bought in the eighties. Some big block GM exhaust manifolds. I thought I had a pair. I can only find the drivers sides, was there a time when they were not producing that passenger side manifold. I never see one on EBay its always the drives side.

The 828 manifold is so common, probably no one advertises it.

So the drivers side is the rare one, I don’t how I ended up with so many then. I could have swore I had some of the passengers side. Oh well I hear that the ones paragon reproduces is a very nice manifold on the BB.

The driver side manifold varied over the years. 1966-69 used the 3880827; 1970-74 used 3969869. All 1966-74 used the same right side casting, 3880828. There were both AIR fitting and non-AIR fitting versions of all three of these. None of these are what I would call rare, although the 3880827 is probably the most uncommon. All of these manifolds were basically Corvette-only except that the 3880827 and 3880828 were used on 1966 passenger cars with L-72.

The 1965 Corvette L-78 (and 1965 L-78 passenger car) manifolds are the rare ones. They were one-year-only pieces and the big block was released late in the model year so they really were not around for even a full model year.
