    1963 Aluminium valve covers

I need to replace my aluminium valve covers on my 63 327/340 convertible. I bought and returned several already because of quality issues.
I am reluctant to buy some more without asking for your comments. There are various suppliers with even more pricetags.
So I need some help on where to buy the correct and highest quality alu valve covers (next to the real deal of course).
    Thanks Ruud

As far as I know all the new reproduction covers have the flaw line through the letter O. Since you have a 63 the mold for the covers was still new and none of the covers had defects. The only way is to have you covers repaired or find an original set that is close to NOS.

Jim, I do not have the original ones and am looking
for a set of reproductions that have a good quality
and are simular to the originals. No seems and no junk.

          Ruud,
I have found that there are many sets of used valve covers available that can be used as is or restored.
As previously mentioned all the new ones being sold are made by Paragon using the old GM mold with the crack in it.
Thier (Paragon) quality is better then when GM produced them but still pretty poor.

            Ruud,
Being that your are overseas I would suggest you friend someone state side to seek and find you a pair via swap meets. Of course quaity of parts, cost and shipping arrangement would need to be established. Make sure it is established exactly what you require.

Also suggest that be someone down south as there is less restrictions due to weather and events going on year round.
