I want to use a correct ac delco fan clutch 3916141, everywhere I look it is out of stock. I was thinking I could use the gm clutch for best reliability and minimun points loss. Now what??

Re: 3916141 fan clutch NLA, substitutes??
Have your dealer do a dealer inventory search. There are probably some out there in dealer stock. The downside to this is you'll probably have to pay GM list or close to it and this piece GM lists for about 275 bucks.
It might be that Eaton has finally discontinued this part. After all, it first went into the GM parts bin in 1967 and there has not been a single application that uses it built since 1970. In case you've lost track, 1970 was 42 years ago.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Dick-----
This particular clutch is a GM parts system-only piece. However, some Delco dealers can obtain them. They'll come through regular GMSPO channels, though, and if there's no stock there, they'll have just as much trouble obtaining them as a GM dealer.
One Delco dealer that I know can obtain them is Bob Rush at Specialty Parts Warehouse in Opps, AL. In fact, he may be able to obtain them direct from Eaton. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
