    67 WS Wiper Arm Installation

When installing the wiper arm passenger rod onto the motor shaft, does it matter whether the passenger side transmission is pointed up or down so long as the rod attaches to the motor shaft? I'm unsure if there would be an interference fit with car body or if there would be an issue with the blades working properly. I'm hoping to get this back together today. TIA Al

Yes it does. Passenger side should be down.

I'd suggest that you have the short arm welded to the wiper shaft, where it is now swagged. This results in a "tighter" wiper system. These are usually worn from use.
