Will the GM 3916141 fan clutch work on a 60 corvette? I believe I have an origional clutch that needs rebuilt, but I thought it woud be safer to use a new clutch and loose 1 or 2 point in judging?

I have replaced my clutch fan about 5 months ago. I bought a new one from GM and it did not mount up, then I used one from Autozone and it was like magic. It did the job. I am not sure if you are seeking a functional unit or a GM brand unit.

Assuming that the rest of your components are original or configured the same as original (i.e. fan, pullies, and waterpump), the GM #3916141 will work just fine for you. It has a shaft length that is slightly shorter than your original clutch but it will work fine. In fact, it is, by far, the best replacement fan clutch available today for your application.
