1967 Speaker

I'm looking to upgrade my speaker. When I bought the car, the radio didn't work, so I don't know if the speaker is okay.

Can I buy a 6" X 9" speaker and attach my transformer to it? I think I saw this article in an old Restorer Magazine.

Any info will be helpful.

Greg Thompson's speaker is the only I know of that is an exact replacement of the original, Corvette America used to sell them when I bought mine a couple years ago, but I can't find them there now. Here is Greg's website, you can order directly from him;
