Gentlemen. I have currently removed the period correct compressor from my 65 Coupe. It has an incorrect muffler that i belived i have found a suitable replcement for. The car appears to have a number of incorrect A/C crimped hoses. I am asking my esteemed collegues the correct procedure to remove thse hoses. It appears the crimped connections must be cut thru to remove the hoses? I have a crimp on the muffler on the dryer and also on i going into a valve outside of the firewall and i other. The hose connected to the condensor has a hose clamp this was I assume the correct way they were fastened? I am also aksing for reliable names for condensor and compressor rebuilds. The name Clssic Air in Florida was mentioned . They also rebulid variousother components. Any input will be appreaicted. Bryan Hepper 42470

Re: 1965 A/C Hoses and A/C component rebuild
Bryan, I would recommend Classic Auto Air for service. I have used them many times and they are willing to give phone help. Long Island has most parts & I think correct hoses. You didn't mention what refrigerant (R-12 or 134) you plan to use, that makes a difference on many parts (such as hoses). I would also recommend you replace or rebuild the dryer. Good luck, Don H.- Top
