Is it possible to replace the inner fender wells on a 57 without removing the nose?

Yes. You should be able to split the top (hood opening) joint after removing screws, unbolt the rear joint (to the firewall) and split the front joint to the radiator panel. Some judicious splitting with a sharpened putty knife or similar tool to break the bonded joints and it should come out. Removed one of mine to facilitate easier repair.
