That's a 3.08 ring & pinion gearset, manufactured in March, 1967; 1967 was the first year for that 3899143 diff housing.

The elderly neighbor would like for me take it out of his garage, he has had it for many years! I will take it, now that I know what it is I will take out an add in the Driveline Magazine to find it a home Thanks again.
