1979 Corvette Headlamp Actuators - hard vacuum line direction

Anyone ever see both hard lines on the actuators facing to the passenger side?

Meaning, drivers side points inwards to the center of the car, the passenger side points outward.

This is a late production '79.

I think the general opinion is '68 to '79's pointed outward.

Some say '80 to '82's pointed inward, others have said only '82's pointed inward.

GM parts catalog (via DocRebuild) shows a 68-79 LH actuator also fits a 80-82 RH.........

The orientation of the actuators changed over the years- I won't even guess what's correct for a '79. What does the AIM show?

My only thoughts are maybe late '79 production started to get '80 parts, maybe one side was a '80 part.

2 early production '79's I looked at had them pointing outward.

I was hoping someone with a late '79 build would see this and check.

Obviously they could of been replaced in their lifetime, the NCRS judging manual doesn't note anything regarding
the orientation of the lines.
