    C-1 Body on C-4 corvette??

A friend asked me to inquire as to whether members are aware of an aftermarket company that is producing a '62 body that fits on a C-4 frame (mid 80's to early 90's). Thanks.

Check out Corvette Centrals at: www.concept57.com

They are many companies that produce a frame for the c-1 bodies that utilize the C-4 suspension.

Thanks, Joe. From what I am told the C-4 body is removed leaving a rolling chassis. Then, a "look alike" modified 1962 body that fits precisely into OEM body mounting spots of the C-4 is then fitted onto the C-4 frame. Gauges and interior of the C-4 remain.

problem is there is no "frame" on a C4 like a C1, or C2. its more of a uni body construction

As noted, C4's don't have a frame. The C1 bodies with C4 suspension/brake components utilize a custom-built tube frame that combines the old body with the new running gear. This link shows how it's done:
