    Jack Murray?

Who is Jack Murray, and why isn't he a member here?

    Re: Jack Murray?

He's a wild man that jumps all around this country messing with really fast go karts. His only real redeeming value is his sweet wife Karen, whom I've had the privilege of working with many times at US Airways.
Just kidding...Jack is a great guy and has found a many a great Corvette in his day. He ranks right up there with Pillsbury when it comes to uncovering some great ones.

Accessing the TDB is voluntary George. Although there are several thousand NCRS members that have activated their TDB privileges, there are still under 500 that are regular users.

          Hi Mike!

You mean American, er uh, Delta?

I sure do, buddy...CLT 737 Capt. I talk to Kizer, Palmer and few other guys on the 737 mtc desk on a regular basis. Nils lives near me in Lexington.

Being in the MEL department keeps you pretty busy.

Darn good to see you here, Mike

Actually, I'm ex-UAL (20yrs), just 2.5 at US-DL-AA. If only UAL would jump into the mix I could go back up the seniority list.

Yep, I write the MELs that make the whole world sing! (E190, B737, & B767). Did a lot of work with Vic Hardy (PHX) on the 737, just recently started working with Bob Binkley & Steve Schnelle.
E190 - Craig Jones, B767 - Bill Ausley, all CLT.

            So, what are you driving?

Just saw Binkley when I took my sim check. He's had some health issues but looks great. He and I were hired by Piedmont about the same time. Schnelle is a good guy and he's junior to me which makes him an even better guy.

Jack is one of the best Corvette guys I have had the pleasure of knowing. He has also owned some of the most original, rarest, and nicest Corvettes in the country. Jack and I trailered a friends Corvette out to the 1993 Nationals held in Okalahoma. We had a couple of dilemmas with our tow vehicle in Ohio. Jack always refers to that trip as "the trip from hell". He is a great guy and everyone should have the pleasure of knowing him.

I've known Jack Murray for about 35+ years. Great guy. One of the pillars of the Corvette community.

Mark- I don't know if those photos would be legal to post on the NCRS forum as Jack and I could possibly face a 13 month suspension.

His membership number is 4347. He joined in 1977 and has owned over 20 of the best of the best 1963-72 Corvettes in the country. Many of his cars were BLOOMINGTON GOLD, NCRS TOP FLIGHT and even SPECIAL COLLECTION cars. Jack was a founding member of the CORVETTE MUSEUM. He got a special membership number Z0-6, as he worked hard promoting the idea to many clubs and sponsors. Today he has one of the finest collections of RACING KARTS in the world, which is his other passion.

He was also a leader in the Bar Stool Go-Karts adventures of the 90's. Just a great all around person glad to say I know him.
