    Convertible Top Care Tag

Does anyone know where a correct paper tag can be purchased for a 69 convertible top? Al Knoch's have a cloth type so they don't fall apart in the rain but I need the paper type.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Thanks, Terry but the ones they sell have an adhesive back so I can't use it.

          Not to start a war.

But why is the top tag so desirable?

Didn't the dealer remove those before delivery?

Is there an NCRS points deduction for not having one?

IMHO they look over the top on anything but a totaly restored non-driver.

No offense to those who see it otherwise.

            Michael,

Why the obsession with worrying about what others want to do? I think it's goofy that a) you don't know if the dealer removed them or not b) you don't know if they are judged...or not and c) why is it you joined NCRS? I mean, IMHO, I can't figure out why you GAS.

But I do like the way you edited your post and took out obsession and goofy. You must've thought better to remove them.

            BTW, HAND,

            Mark

I worked at Luby Chevrolet in Boston from 1967-1972 in the new car prep department and we always left the tag on every convertible top Corvette or any other convertible.

                Thanks for the reply.

I wonder how many customers left them on?

So, when you're not calling people goofy and obsessive, you're categorizing people you've never met.

I don't have a driver with a tag, I wish I did. You might want to be careful though as I'm sure there are lots of members here with drivers and tags. If you're not careful, they might come to the opinion your goofy, without even meeting you, and I'm sure you wouldn't want that.

Holler Chevrolet in Winter Park,FL. left the convertible tags on every new Corvette convertible sold. If I remember right, those tags actually have a "Dealer do not remove" on them.

                          Farmer,

I contacted Dob cause I had his email address handy. His are paper and do not have a glue strip. I went on to receive some 'real deal' advice on how they should be configured so there will, hopefully, be 'no issues'

That should work on that little Fokker just fine.
