BB Timing cover date codes

Were all, or any, 68 and up big block timing covers dated? If so, are the dates judged? I don't see anything about it in the JM. I'd think not since it would most likely be hard to see anyway.

Also, are they interchangable?

Hint: There IS a reason they are not mentioned in the JM & and it isn't because we don't know about those dates on the timing cover. You know the harmonic balancer is dated as well? Same story there too.
