JR, my comment was only and specifically relative to the carpet 80/20 weave question of Michael Garver.

Made the assumption he was about to look for carpet for his 63, so color, stitching, rubber parts, underlay material, and a ton of other things are excluded from my comments. Only the weave has been covered, sorry for the confusion

So your last point is right on! What are you trying to accomplish? I am confused by your request

Alan, I'm looking at a 66 "barn" car in northern Michigan, with some holes in its original carpet, so my question was 66 oriented. (both my 63's already have new carpet). I know I'm always focussed on 63's so your response was quite insightful. Sorry for the confusion.
