Knock off wheel & spinner restoration question ?

I had my wheels and spinners restored by a well known individual who I consider and expert. Once I recieved the wheels and spinners back I noticed the face of the spinner or wing as you are looking at it straight in front of you has what looks like a porous finish. When I questioned the condition I was told that is was because of the level of quality you recieved when you purchased you vehicle new. I wanted to get get some feed back and see if this is what you have experiencd or do they have to be redone? How is some thing like that judged ?

My original spinners don't have any porosity on the front (chrome finished) side. The chrome is nice.

      David,
My original knockoff spinners have a highly polished and chrome plated front side and a porous chrome plated back side. You cannot see any of the porous part of the spinner looking at it from the front side.

      Good Luck,
      Wayne

The well known restorer welded the bashed ends to restore them to the original configuration. Little small holes are sometimes a problem if the voltage and rod are not correct.
You should send them back and give him a second chance to do them right!

Thank you all for the information. I know how hard it is to make a judgement when you can't see what it is you are suppose to make a judgement on. Thank You!
