Can Carb Manual Choke be Replaced with Proper Coil Choke?

I have a Holley 3310 aftermarket carb with manual choke on a factory '71 LS6 intake. Does anyone know if I can use the stock coil type choke on that type of carb?
    Thanks,
    Jack

holley sells a electric choke conversion for most all their carbs. part# 45-223 for your 3310

Thanks Clem. Yes, that's my fallback but would rather have the more original appearance of the coil choke.

if you are referring to the "divorced" type choke i can't see how you can do that.

Not sure of the "divorced" nomenclature but that sounds like it. I'm referring to the factory type choke that has a heat based coil screwed to the intake with a cover which then connects to the carb that would be found on an original '71 LS6 and many other corvettes of that period.

that is a divorce type choke and i can see no way you can convert your carb.

              Clem and Jack------

Yes, that's the way it is. The vast majority of Holley carbs originally manufactured with manual or no choke or those originally equipped with an electric choke cannot be converted to divorced style choke. In fact, I don't know of even one that can be so-converted but there may be one The 3310 is not one of them, though. If one wishes to use a carb with a divorced choke, one needs to obtain a carb originally so-equipped. I don't think that Holley currently manufactures such a carb, though, unless they are still making some of their restoration carbs.
