    69 L68 Tri Power

I've just converted the carbs back to original fuel lines and was looking for a good vacuum diagram for carbs and ignition. I think the vac hoses are going to the wrong ports but my AIM doesn't really show it that well. Does anyone know of a good diagram i can buy/get that will show me the correct configuration? Just as an aside my AIM shows a PROD hose on page 380, what is this?

    Many Thanks
    Grahame

Grahame. Page 380 will not help much since each vendor labels their pages differently. UPC#, and Sheet # works the best for universal reference.

PROD is short for "production" and means that part is the same as used on the base Corvette.

Have you looked at th epictures in MFDobbins 1968-1972 Vette Vues Fact Book? You might find some help there.

Not mine. Can't recall who this belongs to but the vacuum hose routing seems proper to me.

Grahame, I had the same issue with the AIM- here are some reference images I used.

Larry- I noticed in your pic the black metal clip that attaches to the vacuum advance line is on the valve cover bolt left of PCV -the AIM is not clear on this either, is that where it is to be located? I have my clip on the bolt between PCV and oil fill cap-but only took a guess at what the AIM was trying to show.

Patrick: AFAIK that's where it goes. Car is a 68 not a 69. Car's picture was taken at Bloomington Gold; judges did not deduct for location of clip.FYI Larry

i have attached some pics of my setup. As you can see the vac line goes to the bottom of the centre carb. The is also a vac connection behind carb closest to distributor which has a rubber plug over the top connection. my car also ha no air pump connected. Cheers Grahame
