Esteemed collegues. I am in the process of rebuilding a 1965 coupe with air conditioning and will send out my A/C parts to be rebuilt. I do need a source for hoses .Is there a source for A/C hoses for the Freon/ Drier muffler etc.? From what i can tell they are almost as hard to come by as early 1056 parts. Any input will be welcomed Bryan Hepper 42470

LICS has midyear A/C refrigerant hose sets, with or without logos on the hoses.- Top

Re: 1965 Air conditooning hoses
I, too, am in the process of having my A/C system rebuilt/restored. I ordered all my parts from Long Island Corvette Supply. I paid extra for the date-coded "GY" hoses they offer. My '65 Coupe's A/C system has been "bubba'ed" by previous owners and it lost at least 14 originality points at the Flight judging meet. I am hoping that the recent work will recover all those former deductions. We'll see at the next chapter meet, in May. -Clark- Top

Re: 1965 Air conditooning hoses
Long Island Corvette Supply is the only supplier of hoses with the imprinting that I know of.
What Don H was referring to is if your are going to use 134a refrigerant you need "Barrier style hoses". The hoses have a liner or barrier in them to prevent the 134a from leaking thru the hose itself. If you are using R12 Freon the old standard rubber hose will work.
Depending on your refrigerant choice you may need to check with your hose supplier.
