    Cordless grease gun rec's

I just finished greasing my 54 Corvette and my 56 Chevy with a manual grease gun and I'm certainly getting older. The effort to force grease into some fittings was tough. Because of that I'm looking at various cordless grease guns. Anybody have any suggestions. I also have an air compressor but would like to avoid the hose following me around. Bill

I use a Lincoln cordless, but if it was tough getting the grease in (more than just normal pressure) then either the zerks are bad or the grease has hardened. It is usually a combination of the two, try a new zerk on the fittings that were tough and flush out the old grease. If your zerks are original just put them back afterwards.

I agree and that's the plan later this coming week. I have still realized that my shoulders are not what they used to be and I want to ease the task. Maybe by having a cordless gun I will even do the job twice a year and avoid dried up grease issues. Have you ever noticed that the problem zerks are always the ones way up out of the way?

A friend owns the Lincoln electric grease gun and I used it last week on my cars. Works great although at times a little heavy and bulky but it sure beats pumping. I bought an air powered grease gun from Harbor Frieght a while back but never used it. Maybe this spring. Rich

I have had a Lincoln cordless for about ten years and love it. When I purchased it, I had some equipment that had over 75 grease fittings on them. I also have a Lincoln air gun, but do not use it since I purchased the cordless.

You guys have been very helpful. I just ordered a 18 volt Lincoln. My arms and shoulders are already feeling better.

Probably not at this time. You can buy it at my final auction sale, everything I own will be auctioned at my estate sale once I pass
