C3 Fan Clutch Date Code

This is the fan clutch off my 78. Broadcast code is AZ which is correct but how to read the date code (J17H)? Also, what type of coil actuator was used on these late model clutch fans?

Tom, could that date be Oct. 1st 77, Not sure about the (H) Maybe the manuf., I know my 72 has the date stamped on the flange on the w/pump side.

The car has a build date of November 10th, 77 so that would be consistent with assembly timeline.
