    69 Wiper Arm Detailing

    Three Questions:
    1. What was the finish for the two small nuts which attach the 'transmission bushing plates' together with the wiper arm and wiper blade holder?
    2. What was the finish for the 'transmission bushing plates'?
    3. Were the base plates (which are bolted to the firewall) for the wiper arms painted black before they were installed or were they installed as natural cast and painted as part of the firewall blackout?
    Thanks
    Wes

Wes, my 72 the wiper pivots were sparyed with some sort of sealant at the base and then the wiper recess was blacked out a long with the pivots. those plates where natural , nuts were zinc.

It is some what spelled out in the 70/72 JM.Not sure about the 68/69 JM.
