Last winter I went through my A.I.M. page by page, and entered the part#, hardware type (bolt, washer, etc)as well as quantity page # (so I could quickly find again) I then left another column blank to add notes as to finish. I then after all the data was entered, had the computer re-sort according to part#. It turned out pretty interesting. Sometimes a fastener was used only once. However pretty often as in the case of washers and rivets, they were used in several spots. Great for finding what a missing fastener was. (I know it's not foolproof due to assembly line inconsistences but at least it gives an idea)Here's an example: washer part #3748358, it was used in the following; evap. cannister mtg.,spare tire tub,A/C condenser mtg., and radiator support. I'll try to attach a copy of one of my pages when I figure out how!
