When starting my SB, one pump on the accelerator and with a little cranking it starts right up, however, I can imediately tab the pedal and the choke comes off and idles down and of course it's not warm enough to keep running so I've got to keep my foot on the pedal. Would this issue indicate that the little choke coil is at fault?

check to see if the choke rod from the coil to the carb is set correctly. also check to see if the choke pull off is set correctlyWhen starting my SB, one pump on the accelerator and with a little cranking it starts right up, however, I can imediately tab the pedal and the choke comes off and idles down and of course it's not warm enough to keep running so I've got to keep my foot on the pedal.
