    Interesting Date stamp

I thought some of you might find this interesting.

Here is a date stamp I found Underneath the center deck latch assembly.
The trim tag on my AOS body is I 25.
Seems like a long lag time ! There is no doubt however that the deck is original to the car , paint color , etc.etc.

    Jim,

Might be typical stuff as I found dating underneath the latch on my '66 decklid as well. Btw.....my car is an AO Smith body.....yours?

      Hello Michael,

      AO Smith also.

Was your Date 6 months earlier than your build date?

I remember when I restored my 1966 (from 1980 to 1995) there was a date code stamped underneath the deck lid latch assembly. When I get a chance I will remove the latch and check the date but don't hold your breath, it's winter.

Dave, you must live in the great frozen north. It was 70 degrees in North Texas, today! -Clark
