'65 M20 side cover tag

I've searched the archives 'till I'm cross eyed and can't find the post I was looking for so I'll need to defer this question to the members who explained this before. This is in reguards to the correct tag number fitted to the side cover on a '65 M20 CR muncie behind an L84; rear end gearing is 3:70. complete drivetrain is original but missing the side cover tag. Now, from what I see from the vendors is tag number 3857573 (fitting 365/375 HP) BUT, I remember from a previous post that the correct tag should be 3857579 Which BTW is listed as fitting a 350HP car). Seems the rear axle ratio had something to do with the correct tag number. Would someone please explain this to me??

thank you Gary. I completely forgot that I was the one that posted the question in the first place. Maybe I should look into AARP after all....
