Small Blcik Distributor Differences

Is there any difference between a 1960 and 1962 or later distributor other than it appears to have replaceable bushings. Also is the main reason that there are so many distributor numbers in that they are the same except for the vacuum unit and the spring weights. I know that they will "fit" but are threre any other concerns in matching the distributor to the engine.

Although there were some detail differences in things like oiler tubes, they were pretty much the same except for tuning items (weights, springs, breaker plates, vacuum advance units, etc.); the only significant difference I recall is the unique partial-circumference annulus in the spool near the bottom of the housing on '55-'56 distributors for lifter gallery oiling.
