In the process of cleaning up the diff crossmember, and found the part # and some Dana Detroit Stampings, is that from the factory?

I don't see how it could be any other way.

I suspect that the 3817928 is the GM part number for the BARE crossmember (i.e. without installed cushions) or a component of the crossmember.
