1965 Steering Column Support

I have my 1965 chassis in a "rolling" state and want to move it to storage while the body, interior, etc., are being completed. With that said I was thinking of mounting the steering column I have removed from the car back to the steering coupler and box on the chassis so I can steer it both on and off my trailer.

Does anyone have any sort of plan to build a bracket of some sort to support this column on the frame with the body removed without welding the frame all up?

Jim -

No need for a bracket - just use a shortened old steering shaft and junk steering wheel, and you can steer it.

It's much easier to just kick the front tires.
