And if you have an A/C car, the shut off valve also has that finish.

What about the headlight clevis that attaches to the vacuum actuator shaft?

Besides all of the aformentioned components, don't forget about the wiper acuator, cover for the master cylinder, and head light acuators. Actually the technical term is gold dichromate, not gold irridite. I also used to refer to it as irridite until I was told different. In Connecticut I have been using a plater that does awsome gold irridite. As Paul Oslansky brought to my attention, when the acuators were plated thre two pieces were from different batches which would yield different shades of gold dichromate. Just be aware for future judging.

The reproduction headlight clevis is gold, just checking if this is correct? If so, I'll plate my originals.

Irridite is a dip finish that works on aluminum only. It prevents the aluminum from oxidizing and provides a base for primer and paint. Some irridite is electrically conductive, and all irridite will 'punch through' easily, which is important in electrical and electronic applications. As a dip process, it is very thin and does not provide much abrasion resistance.
