Re: Front coil spings for 1969 L46
All------
You guys are going to be the death of me. I mean, forcing me to go out a dig out coil springs in order to prove to myself that I was right in my recollection. Note the photo attached of an NOS GM #331316 spring. The black finish appears to me to be powder coating and not paint.
The 331316 are slightly longer in free length than the 3931823. However, they produce a virtually identical ride height so there must be some other slight difference in the design that "compensates". I've used them and have found them to be perfect. With a rebuilt original rear spring and rear suspension they produced a ride height that was identical front and rear.DSCN2614.jpgDSCN2615.jpgDSCN2616.jpgDSCN2617.jpg
