58-61 FI fuel filter

The correct cannister has the "in" and the "out" fittings, as does the incorrect cannister. To keep that fitting from tearing out of the cannister when attaching lines, you put a wrench on the cannister fitting to keep it from turning. On the correct cannister, does a 5/8 wrench fit, or does a 9/16?

Mike, looking at the picture in the '58 service manual, Page 10-62, Fig 109, and assuming a 5/16 line, sure looks like 9/16 would be the proper wrench.

Mine takes a 5/8" wrench. The Ford version would be either 11/16" or 3/4".

I picked some parts before Christmas--in with them were two cannisters, one with 9/16 and one with 5/8. Both Corvette? Earlier/later?

Mine takes a 5/8" wrench. The Ford version would be either 11/16" or 3/4".

My Ford version takes a 5/8" inch wrench.
