    65 Spare Tire Lock

Can someone help me select which spare tire lock to buy that will result in the least amount of points deducted? My 65 does not have one and the 65 JG says small hole in the outer circumference of the lock cylinder and 1/4" drain hole. From the vendor descriptions, I can't tell which is most correct.

Here is what I have found listed by vendors:
Keen: 63-66 Spare tire lock with original style key.
LIC: 63-66 Tire lock (correct key/large hole/replacement cap).
Zip: 63-66 Spare tire lock with original keys
Paragon: 63-67 Spare tire lock, comes with both round & hex head keys.
Dr Rebuild: 63-82 Spare tire lock includes lock cycliner and two keys.

    Thanks for your input.

Bill, I suggest you contact Pete Lindahl in NM, a frequent poster here, and tell him your cars VIN. he will sell you a correct original, the cover, and key it to match your glovebox key. If you need other ignition keys, or GB key, or knockouts, he will take care of all of it for you, and very reasonable cost. And he's real neighborly to work with. You will find him in the members list.

I agree. Also, Gary Beaupre (also NCRS member) sells these locks and has the following website: http://garybeaupre.home.comcast.net/

Gary is also a pleasure to deal with.

        Re: 65 Spare Tire Lock

I recently purchased a spare tire lock from fellow NCRS member Gary Beaupre since my '65 Covette had a service replacement lock and key. The lock and key I purchased from him are excellent and Gary's knowledge and customer service can't be beat. Give a call, you won't be sorry you did.

Here are three, an early 63, late 63 and a 68. Your probably looking for one like the middle one.
