For some reason, I applied a "230" decal on both stamped steel valve covers. Of course, I now know that is incorrect. Is there anyway to remove the decal without stripping the paint and decal and starting over?

Re: Removing a Valve Cover Decal - 1960 Car
Joe,
I assume you used water to put the decal on. How about trying to soak it, maybe with a sponge or rag, to soften it up and then rub it off?
I need to remove mine as I don't like the way I put it on. I was planning on trying this method. (I bought two decals knowing that the chances were pretty good I'd mess the first one up)

Re: Removing a Valve Cover Decal - 1960 Car
It is the water release type decal. I don't want to remove the valve cover so I am going to soak a rag in water and cover the rag with plastic so it stays wet for several hours and see if I get lucky. Will keep you posted.- Top
