Ok, back to work again. I replaced the blinking bulb with an 1816 & have a steady light there. I just finished bleeding my brakes> I have a nice stiff pedal now----BUT---that pesky light is still remaining on
----Grrrr, WHY won't that light turn off ? I have never tried removing that brake warning switch with the system now full to the top with fluid. Am I going to open up a can of worms with fluid coming out ? Can't get one drop of the dot3 fluid on my Lacquer paint obviously-----------HELP ! This one definitely appears to be the original---it looked quite clean inside. Also it did move in and out when I had it removed from the distribution block. Thanks guys.

Larry, I did check there once, but I plan to go back again tonight & check for continuity there again. I'm assuming I'll have a fluid leak all over if I was to remove the sensor there on the distribution block ?Comment

If block was built/repaired/serviced correctly, there should be no fluid in the center electrical switch section. It is sealed with o-rings.
To get a stubborn, differential pressure brake switch to properly center, you can crack a bleeder screw on one of the front or back brake systems and then push on the brake pedal like you were bleeding that system. This will create a differential pressure to help center the switch. However, the trick is knowing whether to pick the from or the rear. Only way I know is trial and error...........and to do it slowly to avoid going to far in the opposite direction. But at least you are working with brake fluid at the calipers and not under the hood.
But I would investigate the parking brake switch first.

That's a great idea Larry & thanks. I'll do that after I check my PB switch on the handle. I must admit I did not realize there is a shaft that moves horizontally inside that block. All I originally did was remove the sensor switch, clean & them replace it. Like you mention (& because this car sat since the early 90's) that shaft may be stuck in there. I'll try the bleeding method as you mentioned. I am paranoid as heck with all of those parts on top near my lacquer paint ! I'll be back with you once I work on her tonight.Comment

GOT IT
----I must have been pulling a "Late night" when I reinstalled the parking brake lever. I had the parking brake light cut-off button attachment screw attached but only snug, not tight. Working beautifully .---Light is gone & working only when PB lever is applied. Thanks men ! Sometimes it's an easy one. Now,everything electrical is working 100% AOK.
