    69 upper dash pads

I have several dash pads for my 69 coupe. First I have the original which is badly cracked. It seems to fit much better than the AK pad. Second I have a Knoch repro that ( I believe ) doesn't allow the lower dash pads to go in far enough. I think the metal brackets are not positioned correctly making the lower dash "too wide". Third I have a original pad that came with the car when I bought it . It is in very good condition . It doesn't have the stud on the back for attachment to the dash support and a couple other minor differences on the back side. It also has 6 front clips rather than the 4 my original 69 has. The metal lower dash attachment brackets appear to be the same as my original. I am thinking about using the third pad. Does any one know what year it would be from And how it would Judge?

Brad, the 1968-69 top dash pad is unique to those years. 1970-up pads have stitching along the front that 1969 doesn't. If there is no stitching along the front, it is not from a later year. You may simply have pads made by different manufacturers.

Thanks Reba, there is no stitching on the front edge so maybe its from a 68. The 69 AIM shows the stud for attachment to the dash support. The stud sure makes it harder to install.
