    Windshield Washer Pump

I had my wiper motor rebuilt, but i cannot seem to get the washer pump to work. Initially it made a clicking noise, but no fluid was drawn to the pump. I found that i had cracked the main feed line from the reservoir when messing with the distributor. I replaced the plastic piece, but now the pump is no longer making the ticking noise that it was before.
How can i check to make sure that the pump is the problem? I hate to pull the whole motor and send it off for repair if it is just something simple. Im guessing that there is an additional 12 volts that will show up on one of the wires when the pump switch is activated. Does anybody know which wire this is or where i should check for power to the pump?
BTW, the wiper motor is is getting power and functioning correctly.
    Thanks
