If the harnesses are in the way, it's only one small bolt to disconnect them from the firewall. I'm thinking that without the chassis and engine the tank should have enough room to drop downwards and out. It's the frame that gets in the way from doing that as an assembled car.

From my observations trying to do this with body on frame, I would agree with Owen on this. Without the frame, steering gear etc the tank should be able to pass from below.

        Justin,

I have no answer to your jack stand question.

These photos (attached over two replies) show the space available after the vacuum tank has been removed. The power booster, master cylinder and vapor canister are removed. The steering gear box and clutch cross-shaft are also removed, but since your body is off the frame, you don't need to worry about them. The steering column is out; yours may still be in place. You could remove the triangular lower splash shield.

Once the tank was out, it appeared larger than when it was in place.
