    Get your checkbooks out

This looks like a great opportunity at no reserve:

That's interesting...the '72 ZR-1 has an air cleaner decal. Owner add-on; or unique to the ZR-1?

I haven't seen a ZR-1 with an air cleaner decal, but the ZR-2 had one.

          A ZR-2 would be a 1971, so a decal would be expected.

I enlarged the engine compartment photos, but couldn't read the horsepower designation.

Anyway, those are some impressive cars going to auction!

Its advertized as a 1972 but I am under the impression that all 72 LT-1's had no decal on the air cleaner lid, and the valve covers, on my 72 the oil fill is on the drivers side and is just a black plastic push on cap that has "OIL" stamped on it. Still a nice car though.
Just looked at the other Green 72 coupe, not the ZR-1, It has the correct looking engine compartment,( I have to admit, I never looked at a real ZR-1 before)

The 57 has an aftermarket ballast resistor, but a pretty car.

Also, either a no third dummy knob car or a no lighter car? Were there any cars known to be shipped without lighters or a third dummy knob? In the 50's, no ligher might have hurt resale value.
